NSWRRA has lost one of our Life Members. Norm Stevens died peacefully on Friday 19th, just shy of his 98th birthday. A stalwart of the association for years, he played a crucial role in the formative years of some of our current referees and contributed in many ways, both on and off the field. We extend our condolences to his family and friends.
Norm’s funeral is at 1pm on Friday, 17th October at the South Chapel of Woronora Memorial Park, 121 Linden Street, Sutherland. A fully catered wake will be held from 2pm at The Celeste Cottage, Woronora Memorial Park. An online link will also be available in due course. For those interested in attending, please contact Norm’s family directly for catering purposes. If you don’t have their details, please let me know. To quote Dave, Norm’s son: “Dad’s greatest joy, outside family, was his association with his dear friends, and particularly all the great people at Rugby NSW. If you come along, do try to bring a funny, heartfelt or character-filled story with you.“.
